What is Scaling and Root Planing?

This teeth cleaning technique is designed to remove excess plaque and tartar on teeth and around the gumline. Plaque is a daily occurrence on teeth as it is a substance that contains saliva, food residue, and other fluids. Although it sticks to teeth, it easily brushes away when cleaning.

Tartar forms on teeth when plaque isn’t removed, which is why it’s so important to brush your teeth twice a day. A dentist needs to remove tartar with their dental tools, which makes it essential to brush teeth correctly to remove plaque and visit a dentist near you regularly for cleanings.

How is a Deep Cleaning Performed?

No rushing and takes the time to explain everything.  I am going for my 2nd implant now. Through out the whole procedure they are there for you. I highly recommend this dentist.
